Langtang Valley Trek Overview

Langtang Valley Trek offers an opportunity to explore villages, Mountain View, climb Kyanjin Ri peak and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. The forests in this region have temperate and sub- alpine vegetation. We may see wildlife like migratory birds, deer, monkeys, Thar, wild boar and Pika. The Langtang region is declared as Langtang National Park in 1976 and covering approximately 1,710 sq. km stretching up to the Tibetan border.

Langtang Valley Trek is a pleasant trip in Nepal. Following our route map, we begin trekking from the lower region of the Langtang Valley through small villages, farmlands and beautiful forests. We also climb Kyanjing Ri (shorter hike) or Tserko Ri (longer hike) for excellent sunrise views over the Langtang range. The Langtang valley was once an important trading route to Tibet. We can still see the influence of Tibet in the rich local culture. The Langtang Valley Trek passes through ‘Langtang Village’ which was completely destroyed by the devastating earthquake of 25th April, 2015.

The Langtang Valley Trek starts by driving from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. We will pass the many old villages where we will get opportunity to learn their daily activities, people and culture. In this trip we will see Buddhist monument, prayer flags, Stupas, Chortens, Monasteries, temples, prayer wheels and memorial places.
