We will stay one night nearby Hot Springs that is Jhinu Danda. You can soak your tired muscles in natural hot springs. Naturally hot water is a kind of therapeutic tool to increase flexibility and circulate lactic acid out of sore muscles. Many people go hot springs to heal skin irritations and stomach problem too.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,593 ft), transfer to hotel

Welcome to Nepal Himalaya! We will meet at Kathmandu airport and transfer you to your hotel.The Kathmandu is a vibrant capital city of Nepal. You will observe the bustling streets and alley with the aromas of local cuisine and the vibrant colors of traditional attire.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara 820m, 200 kilometers /125 miles, 07 hours drive

We take a tourist bus over the busy scenic highway towards Pokhara valley and transfer to respective hotels nearby beautiful Phewa Lake.

Day 3: Drive to Kimche and trek to Gandruk 1,730 m – 03 hours drive and 3 hours trek

After having breakfast at Pokhara 3 hours of good drive reaches to the starting point of the trek at Kimche. From here trek starts with a gradual uphill walk through the nice village of Kimche. We reach Ghandruk which is one of the largest villages around Annapurna area in the comfort of a nice cozy lodge after a day’s good walk of 3 hours.

Day 4: Trek to Chomrong 2,170m , 10 kilometers /6 miles, 06 hours

From Ghandruk an hour easier walk to reach Kimrong and then heading downhill through the rhododendron forest to Kimrong River, after reaching the Kimrong river an uphill climb for another 2 hours from here all the way to the top of Chomrong, a short downhill walk to the overnight stop at Chomrong village.

Day 5: Trek to Dovan 2,600m, 8.6 kilometers /5.3 miles, 06 hours

After Chomrong today’s walk leads to downhill over the terraced farm fields and to the Chomrong River, after crossing the bridge an uphill to Sinuwa Danda with great views. From Sinuwa walking through cool dense forest to Bamboo, located at Modi River bank. From here an hour walk on the gradual up trail to Dovan for overnight stop, situated in the middle of forest Modi River gorge.

Day 6: Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp 3,720m , 7 kilometers /4.3 miles, 06 hours

We hike through a bamboo forest to reach Himalaya Hotel. From here our trail ascends to Hinku Cave and then to Deurali. From Deurali our route climbs following the Modi river, the walk gets pleasant through small bushes then with steep up reaching at Machhapuchhre Base Camp for overnight stay.

Day 7: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130m , 3 kilometers/ 1.8 miles, 03 hours

From here a short hike on the grassy ground to the Annapurna base camp with a wonderful morning views of Annapurna mountain range. We are surrounded by magnificent peaks and hike along the gorge.
Annapurna area was first explored by the British Adventure Jimmy Roberts in the year 1956 and exposed to the world as the “Annapurna Sanctuary”.

Day 8: Trek to Bamboo 2,310m, 14 kilometers / 8.6miles, 06 hours

From Annapurna Base Camp our trail descends back to the Machhapuchhre Base camp, Deurali, Himalaya Hotel and Dovan and finally to Bamboo for overnight stay.

Day 9: Trek to Jhinu Danda with hot spring 1,700m , 8.5 kilometers / 5.2miles, 06 hours

We retrace our step back to Sinuwa and Chhomrong. From Chhomrong it is a steep down descent to the Jhinu Danda, for overnight stay, this place offers natural hot springs just 20 minutes walk downhill to Modi River bank. You can soak your tired muscles and enjoy.

Day 10: Trek to Siwai 1,460m and drive to Pokhara 800m, 04 hours for trekking, and 03 hours drive

We have reached our final day on the trekking trails. Today, you will make a pleasant hike along the Modi River. We reach Siwai and drive to Pokhara.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu, 200 kilometers /125 miles, 07 hours drive

Morning a scenic drive to Kathmandu, after a wonderful memorable trip in the high mountains of Annapurna area,  then on reaching Kathmandu transfer to respective hotel.

Today you can do last-minute shopping or other activities. We will drop you at the Kathmandu international airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight. We will say goodbye with happy memories and hope to see you again.

Q1: How difficult is Annapurna Sanctuary Trek?

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is relatively easier and shorter in duration than the Everest Base Camp Trek. It is because trekkers will be hiking ultimate height of 4,130 meters. Trekkers do not require technical training and mountaineering skills but you need to be physically fitness to hike 6 to 8 hours daily.

Q2: What is the best time to do the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek?

The best months to do the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is January,  February, March, April, May, September, October, November, and December. During these months, the weather is generally favorable with clear skies and mild temperatures, making for optimal trekking conditions and stunning mountain views.

Q3: Who are my Guides and Porters?

Our trekking guides are trained and hold a trekking guide license issued by the Nepalese government. All of our guides are local with a deep understanding of the mountains, culture, health and your safety. All of our guides are skilled, experienced, courteous and helpful. They are proficient in English and will be able to communicate effectively with you throughout the trip.

Q4: What type of Foods available during the trek?

You can get verity of meals including typical Nepali Dal Bhat (Rice, Curry and lentils), breads, noodles, soups, eggs, toast, potato varieties, pizza, pasta, burger items are common choices in the menu. Breakfast and dinner will be served from tea house or lodge where we stay overnight and lunch will be served on the way to next destination. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included during the trek; only breakfast is included in Pokhara.

Q5: What about Drinking Water?

Boiled water and safe drinking water options are available along the trekking route. We do not recommend you drink water from local sources such as taps, wells, and rivers.

Q6: What types of Accommodations available?

You will be accommodated in 3 or 2 star level hotel in Pokhara. During the trek, you will have a private room in guesthouses and lodges. In some cases, during peak season, you need to share a room with others.

Q7: Do I need Travel Insurance?

Yes, it is necessary to have insurance to join this Annapurna Circuit Trek. Your insurance should cover cost of Helicopter rescue and treatment.

Q8: Do I need Day Backpack?

Yes, while porters can carry the majority of your belongings, it’s recommended to carry a small day backpack yourself. This backpack can hold essentials such as drinking water, snacks, sunscreen, camera, sunglasses and any other items you may need easy access to during the day hike.

Q9: Is there Porter Luggage Limit?

Yes, trekkers should note that the luggage limit for a porter is 20kg, and typically, there is one porter assigned for every two trekkers. It’s advisable to pack efficiently and within this weight limit to ensure ease of transportation during the trek.
